Allison Gray has dedicated her career to helping others achieve optimal wellness and vitality. With a deep-rooted passion for understanding the upstream causes of health imbalances, Allison brings a wealth of experience and a holistic, functional medicine approach to her work at Truform Longevity Center.

Early Career in Nursing

Allison’s journey in healthcare began as a Labor and Delivery nurse in 2006, where she had the honor and joy of supporting families through some of life’s most transformative and magical moments. She will always fondly remember the incredible privilege of helping to welcome new babies into the world and being a part of such pivotal times in her patients’ lives. The trust, connection, and supportive environment she fostered during that decade of her career continue to inform her compassionate, judgment-free approach to patient care.

Advanced Education & Expertise

Driven by a desire to make an even greater impact on preventive health and long-term wellness, Allison returned to school, graduating from the University of Southern Maine in 2016 as a Nurse Practitioner. Her diverse clinical experience includes:

Functional Medicine Journey

Allison’s true calling crystalized during her Functional Medicine rotation in her Master’s program. She embraced the philosophy of seeking the upstream causes of disease and considering the intricate harmony of mind, body, and soul in the healing process. Allison has since trained with leading experts in hormone health for both men and women, honing her skills in identifying imbalances and crafting personalized treatment plans.

    As a Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner, Allison acts as a detective, listening closely to each patient’s story for clues to solve their unique health puzzle. She firmly believes that the body is a wonderfully designed, complex system with an innate capacity to balance and heal when provided with the right tools and support. Allison takes great joy in guiding patients along their individual healing pathways, empowering them to not just survive, but truly thrive.

    In addition to her clinical work, Allison is a passionate educator, teaching holistic health courses at the University of Southern Maine. She often feels like she’s “getting away with something” because she loves sharing knowledge about the very areas of health that ignite her excitement and purpose. Seeing her students light up with understanding and inspiration is an immensely rewarding part of her work.
