For more than ten years I worked as an emergency medicine physician. I'm proud of that work. Emergency medicine teaches you to think fast, act decisively, and stay calm when it matters most. But it also showed me, every single shift, the limits of how most of our healthcare system is built.
In the ER, you meet people on the worst day of their lives. You stabilize them, and then they're gone. You rarely learn what happened next. And very often, you can see the long road that led them there: years of fatigue that nobody investigated, metabolic problems that crept up slowly, hormones that drifted out of balance, warning signs that were noticed but never really addressed.
I didn't want to keep meeting people at the end of that road. I wanted to meet them at the beginning.
The Problem With the 15-Minute Visit
Most people know the routine. You wait weeks for an appointment. You get a few minutes with a provider who is behind schedule and staring at a screen. One concern gets addressed, maybe two. If your labs come back "within normal limits," you're told everything looks fine, even if you don't feel fine.
That isn't the fault of the clinicians. Most of them are excellent and work incredibly hard. It's the system. When a practice depends on volume, time becomes the first thing that gets cut. And time is exactly what good medicine needs.
You can't understand someone's energy, sleep, stress, training, nutrition, hormones, and long-term goals in 15 minutes. You can only treat the symptom in front of you.
What I Do Differently
When we built TruForm Longevity Center, the first decision was simple: patients get time.

Our visits go well beyond the typical 15 minutes. I sit down with you one-on-one. We talk through your history, how you actually feel day to day, and what you want your health to look like five, ten, and twenty years from now. Then we look at the data together: comprehensive labs, body composition, and the markers that show how your body is really functioning, not just whether you clear a minimum threshold.
That time changes everything:
- We find root causes instead of chasing symptoms one at a time.
- Your plan is built for you, not pulled from a template.
- You understand the why behind every recommendation, so you can make informed decisions.
- We adjust as you progress, with ongoing follow-up rather than a one-time prescription.
- You can actually reach your care team when questions come up.
Building Value While We Reach Your Goals
Every patient comes in with a goal. Some want to lose weight and keep it off. Some want their energy, strength, and focus back. Some want to stay active and independent for decades to come. Whatever the goal, we build a plan to get you there, whether that involves hormone optimization, medical weight loss, peptides, regenerative therapies, or simply the right lifestyle changes backed by data.
But reaching a goal is only part of it. I want every visit to leave you with more than you came in with: a clearer understanding of your body, better habits, and the tools to stay healthy long after any one number improves. That's the value we build along the way. It's an investment in you, not a transaction.
Medicine the Way It Should Feel
Longevity medicine isn't about chasing extreme lifespans or the latest trend. It's about adding healthy, capable, energetic years to your life, and catching problems early, long before they ever lead to an emergency room visit.
After a decade of seeing what happens when the system runs out of time, I chose to build a practice where time is the foundation. That's why I do this work, and it's why I love it.
If you're tired of rushed appointments and want a physician who will actually sit down, listen, and partner with you on your health, I'd love to meet you.
